Terms & conditions
Last updated 2026-08-05.
These terms apply when you buy from FilterFix. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them with our Privacy policy and our Delivery & returns page, which form part of these terms.
1. Who we are
FilterFix ("we", "us", "our") is a trading name of Jon Blades, an online retailer based in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. We sell compatible (non-genuine) replacement appliance parts and filter subscriptions to customers in the United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Compatibility and brand references
Our parts are compatible alternatives. They are not manufactured, supplied or endorsed by the appliance brands named, and FilterFix is not affiliated with those brands. Brand names, model numbers and original-equipment part numbers are used only to describe which appliances our parts are made to fit. We take care to list correct compatibility, and we confirm fit against the model number you give us before you pay. If you are unsure, contact us with your model number before ordering.
3. Placing an order
Adding items to your basket is not an order. Your order is placed when you complete checkout and pay. We accept your order when we send you an order confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil an order, for example because an item is unavailable or a pricing error is obvious, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
4. Prices and payment
All prices include VAT where applicable and are shown in pounds sterling. The price you pay is calculated by us at checkout from our current price list, plus any delivery charge shown before you pay. Payment is taken securely through Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. We accept card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
5. Delivery
We ship from UK and EU warehouses. Estimated delivery is 1 to 5 working days. Delivery estimates are indicative and are not guaranteed dates. Delivery costs and free-delivery thresholds are set out on our Delivery & returns page. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
6. Subscriptions
A filter subscription renews automatically at the interval you choose (every 3, 6 or 12 months) and is charged through Stripe at the start of each cycle, before that cycle's part is dispatched. There is no minimum term. You can cancel at any time before a renewal charge; cancelling stops all future deliveries and charges. To cancel, email us at [email protected] with your order reference and we will confirm.
7. Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel an order for any reason within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us within that period by email at [email protected], quoting your order reference. Return the goods to us within 14 days of telling us. We refund the price you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or of you showing they have been sent). You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they were faulty or did not fit the model you gave us, in which case we cover it. This cancellation right is in addition to the longer voluntary returns window described on our Delivery & returns page.
8. Returns, refunds and guarantee
Full details, including our 30-day no-quibble returns window and 12-month guarantee, are on our Delivery & returns page. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
9. Fitting and safety
Always isolate an appliance from power and water before fitting any part, and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Where work should be done by a qualified engineer, please use one. We are not responsible for damage or loss caused by incorrect installation.
10. Our liability
We are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Complaints and governing law
If something goes wrong, email us at [email protected] and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
